A comedian and actress, Wendy has had three successful Edinburgh Festival shows from her one woman show ‘Things I Didn’t Know, I Didn’t Know’ in 2008 to Flashbacks in 2011. In 2008 she was flown to the States by NBC for their Last Comic Standing show. Her acting credits include Midsomer Murders, Sherlock and Close, a three-part comedy drama for BBC Radio Scotland.
With bags of charisma she’s also doing great things on the comedy circuit – she reached the grand final of the Babycham Funny Women competition at The Comedy Store and has recently appeared as a panelist on a couple of projects for BBC Scotland.
As an actress, her quirky and very funny naturalistic comedic delivery has ensured her roles in several new comedy shows. She was a regular in Broken News (BBC2), Tittybangbang (BBC3/BBC2), was in Open Wide (ITV) and The IT Crowd (Channel 4). Quirky, original and charming, Wendy has guested on Radio 4, BBC Scotland and the BBC World Service.
She currently has several TV projects in development, including a character-based comedy with BBC Scotland.
In 2011 Wendy did not just one but two shows at the Edinburgh Festival AND was nine months pregnant. Whilst performing at The Stand Comedy Club in her own one-woman show, she was asked to return to the Gilded Balloon to appear in the show Looser Woman with Karen Dunbar.
