Screaming With Laughter – Comedy for You, Babies Can Come Too
Screaming With Laughter is London’s original daytime comedy club for parents, where you can enjoy top-quality stand-up… without needing a babysitter.
With over 10 years of shows and thousands of parents laughing through the sleep deprivation, we create a proper comedy club atmosphere—with the added bonus that babies are completely welcome. Because rhyme time is lovely… but grown-up laughter matters too.
Each show is hosted by resident MC Hatty Ashdown, alongside a line-up of brilliant professional comedians from the UK circuit.
Our venues are set up like a real comedy club, just with baby-friendly extras: pram parking (usually in a separate space), baby changing facilities, and soft mats for little wrigglers. You’re free to feed, change, rock, or wander—no judgement, no awkwardness, and definitely no comedians making you the punchline.
Originally created by Lucy Porter, Screaming With Laughter was born out of a simple idea: parents deserve a night out, even in the middle of the day.
“A proper comedy club experience… just with high chairs in the front row.”
“Because parents deserve to laugh too.”
Since taking over in 2016, Hatty Ashdown has grown the show into a supportive, joyful space where new parents can connect, switch off, and laugh loudly—babies and all.
Expectant parents are very welcome, as are grandparents, friends, carers and anyone with a baby in tow. Recommended age is under 14 months, and the comedy is always for the grown-ups.
So grab your sling, message the NCT WhatsApp group, and round up the sleep-deprived gang—it’s time for a proper laugh, no sitter required.
‘I love Screaming with laughter, laughing with others is the fastest way to spread joy. Parents of young babies need it with with lack of sleep and all !’ (Nancy Hay – Mum & Author)
Note: recommended age limit for babies is around 14 months and under, as acts will perform their regular grown up club sets
Expectant parents are also very welcome, as are grandparents, aunties and uncles, nannies, au pairs, carers and family friends.
Feel free to bring along as many people as you like, we just ask that each party contains at least one baby or pregnant woman.
